The massive success of The Hunger Games series may have initially made people think that Divergent’s $54 million dollar opening weekend (more than enough to come in first at the box office) was somewhat soft. A few months later and $274 million worth of international gross ($151 million domestic) against an $85 million dollar budget and it’s clear that the film is a huge success and one that will go on to be a big franchise for Summit Entertainment.

Based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth, Divergent (out on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow; Digital HD available now) stars Shailene Woodley (The Spectacular Now), Theo James, Ashley Judd, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world where humans are split into factions. Beatrice “Tris” Prior (Woodley), however, doesn’t quite fit in, so she must put her Divergent skills to the test. Not only is the film a worthy start to the franchise (The Divergent Series: Insurgent is set for a March 20, 2015 release), but it’s also an action-packed bit of fun.

Parade is excited to premiere this exclusive bonus features clip from the Divergent Blu-ray (which hits stores tomorrow). The clip features Academy Award-winning star Kate Winslet discussing what makes the film so special. She explains how Divergent’s “strong moral message” makes it quite different from some of the other franchises out there at the moment. We’re then joined by star Theo James as he talks about the way that the film makes the characters’ choices paramount and what that means for Divergent.

Divergent arrives on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital HD tomorrow.
